About The Position

Domtar is a leading producer of pulp, paper, packaging, tissue and wood products. The Financial Shared Services group executes transactional processes for the Corporation’s pulp and paper mill sector, covering sales accounting, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. This full-time permanent position, located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, reports to the Supervisor, Invoicing, Deduction and Technical Support, and is responsible for Deduction Tasks and other pertinent day-to-day responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Capacity to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Good analytical and organizational skills
  • Customer oriented, proactive and a good team player
  • Ability to execute responsibilities with a minimum amount of coaching
  • DEC in accounting or finance combined with 2 years of relevant experience, or 5 years of equivalent work experience
  • A working knowledge of French written and spoken
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office Suite products

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the cash cycle is an asset
  • Good knowledge of SAP (FI/CO and SD/MM) and AS400 is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Review assigned customer accounts for deductions, overpayments, and credit memos; includes Debit Backs and rebates
  • Research/obtain reasons and details regarding customer deductions/overpayment
  • Issue credit and debit memos
  • Reconcile the customer accounts under your responsibility
  • Monitor/follow-up customer deductions and tracking log for customer service responses
  • Ensure accurate daily processing of customer credit card transactions, review reports, follow up on disputes, and ensure there are adequate controls
  • Assist Inside Sales group and customers regarding their account information requests
