About The Position

The Senior Advisor for Curriculum and Program Development serves as the provost’s chief architect of the university’s academic offerings. This role advances excellence in curriculum design, program innovation, and academic infrastructure, ensuring that Colorado Christian University’s academic portfolio is coherent, rigorous, mission-driven, and positioned for strategic growth across residential and online modalities. Colorado Christian University is the premier interdenominational Christian university in Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region, delivering world class education to thousands of students. The fully accredited, nonprofit University is located in Lakewood, Colorado, a suburb of Denver. CCU offers more than 200-degree program options for traditional and adult students through its College of Undergraduate Studies and College of Adult and Graduate Studies. Requirements

  • A deep commitment to the Christ-centered mission of Colorado Christian University and the integration of faith, learning, and vocation.
  • Strong expertise in curriculum design, academic program development, and higher education governance.
  • A terminal degree required. Each faculty member must be considered highly qualified as outlined by the university’s accreditation and academic standards.
  • A systems-level perspective on the relationship between general education, majors, and institutional mission.
  • The ability to lead academic innovation with attention to market relevance, scalability, and academic rigor.
  • Skill in translating assessment data into meaningful program improvement and strategic decision-making.
  • A focus on ensuring coherence and quality across multiple delivery formats (residential, online, and hybrid).
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, deans, enrollment, and marketing to align academic offerings with student demand.
  • Experience overseeing complex academic systems with clarity, precision, and strong organizational discipline.
  • A demonstrated commitment to advancing the integration of faith and learning across programs and disciplines.
  • The ability to communicate with credibility and strategic insight to senior leadership and academic stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that every academic program reflects intentional integration of faith and learning.
  • Partner with faculty to deepen theological and philosophical coherence across disciplines.
  • Advance a curriculum that forms students both intellectually and spiritually.
  • Teach at a minimum of 12 credits (four courses/year) across all academic colleges and academies, College of Adult and Graduate Studies, College of Undergraduate Studies (CAGS, CUS), CCU Academy.
  • Oversee all curriculum processes, including approvals, revisions, and catalog integrity.
  • Ensure alignment between general education, majors, and CCU’s Christian worldview commitments.
  • Maintain coherence across programs, ensuring clarity in learning outcomes and academic pathways.
  • Lead the development of new academic programs and certificates across CUS, CAGS, and CCU-A.
  • Conduct market-informed program feasibility in partnership with enrollment and marketing teams.
  • Ensure programs are scalable and maintain quality across residential, online, and hybrid formats.
  • Build and oversee program-level assessment cycles tied to student learning outcomes.
  • Integrate assessment findings into continuous program improvement and accreditation efforts.
  • Ensure academic rigor and measurable outcomes across all programs.
  • Oversee library strategy as a central intellectual resource for the university.
  • Direct academic technology strategy to support teaching excellence and scalable program delivery.
  • Ensure high-quality course design and instructional support across all academic divisions.
