The Senior Advanced Engineering Technician will act as a leader and mentor to new technicians in the support of engineering activities such as designing, testing, checking-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electro mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices or specialized test equipment. This may entail performing the following: Interprets complex engineering drawings, diagrams and schematics, and understand the necessary interfaces Performs complex system level troubleshooting to component level Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and troubleshooting functions Lays out, builds, calibrates, adjusts, installs and maintains equipment, components, devices or systems

Requirements

Associate’s degree in related discipline or equivalent plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
U.S. citizenship is required.
Understands implications of work and provides applicable solutions
Distinct knowledge of specialized function and proficiency in application and interpretation of complex specifications, requirements, standards and practices

Responsibilities
