About The Position

As a Senior Advanced Electrical Engineer at Honeywell Aerospace, you will lead pioneering electrical engineering projects in the realms of electric aircraft and eVTOL systems. You will oversee the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and components for flight surfaces. You will provide technical expertise, guidance, and support to a team, working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive innovation and achieve project objectives. This role reports to the Engineering Program Manager and is based in Torrance, California or Tempe Arizona with a hybrid work schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
  • 10 or more years of experience in electrical engineering within the aerospace industry.
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace engineering principles, project management methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in engineering software tools and project management applications.

  • Master’s degree in Power Electronics Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems and components
  • Conduct feasibility studies and analyze technical requirements
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources
  • Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from conception to completion
  • Provide technical expertise, guidance, and support to the team members
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution
  • Execute electrical circuit design team project tasks
  • Complete assignments by applying electrical engineering methods
  • Generate Bill-of-Materials (BOMs) for Printed Board Assemblies (PBAs)
  • Leverage knowledge of circuit design, circuit simulation, and analysis
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems/failures uncovered by circuit card tests
  • Prepare investigation and test results to document findings
