About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced software solutions for undersea sensor applications. You will work closely with and will lead cross-functional teams to deliver high performance, reliable, and scalable software solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Requirements

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field.
• 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
• Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
• Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming languages.
• Experience developing in a Linux environment.
• Active DoD or DoW Secret security clearance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Agile experience preferred.
• Experience with Docker for containerization and/or Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment.
• Knowledge of underwater acoustics and sonar systems.
• Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.
• Experience with MATLAB or similar tools for algorithm development and simulation.
• Active DoD or DoW Top Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize software for undersea sensor applications.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software and systems in undersea applications.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and testing to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Develop and maintain documentation for algorithms, software, and systems.
