About The Position

Girls Who Invest (GWI) is seeking a Senior Admissions Officer to join their team. This role will be instrumental in the selection process for GWI Programs, including reviewing applications and making recommendations for selection decisions. The position will also support data-driven recruiting, outreach, and communications efforts, including participating in recruitment initiatives, supporting communications, and attending virtual and in-person recruitment events. The Senior Admissions Officer will report to the Director of Recruiting and Admissions and will provide logistical, analytical, administrative, and technical support to the Recruiting and Admissions team.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Two (2) – four (4) years of recent highly selective admissions experience
Strong comprehensive evaluation and assessment techniques including experience with holistic admissions review and a proven track record of reviewing large volume of applications
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; strong public speaking skills
Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service orientation and able to build relationships and collaborate across the organization
Excellent project management skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple evolving projects with competing deadlines
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint
Basic knowledge of Slate CRM (or similar) platform, including but not limited to, Reader navigation, form/event registration creation, record management, query/reporting, etc.
Valid U.S. Driver’s License

Responsibilities

Serve as a member of the admissions committee responsible for selecting cohorts for GWI’s Scholars Program and Retention and Advancement Programs for GWI Alumni.
Holistically review applications during the application reading season for GWI’s flagship programs.
Participate in selection committees and other selection activities as needed throughout the cycle.
Support management of seasonal readers, and document processing prior to, during, and after admissions cycles.
Support annual review and refinement of application based on data analysis, feedback, and evolution of program offerings.
Support the execution of a year-round comprehensive strategic plan for outreach and recruitment for GWI Programs.
Lead virtual and in-person information sessions, alumni panels, and other related recruitment programming.
Utilize external job platforms for recruitment-related administrative tasks including event creation, event promotion, in-person event registration, and team operations (e.g. Handshake, Symplicity, etc.).
Coordinate logistics of recruitment-related alumni initiatives.
Support partnership management with colleges/universities, community-based organizations, and other organizations within prospective applicant communities.
Support prospect and applicant communications campaigns, promotional material development, digital outreach, and social media efforts.
Support the management of the day-to-day application inbox including responding to prospective applicant questions in a timely manner and processing application documents.
Support creation of communications copy for recruiting and admission related websites, letters, and applications as well as create presentations for events.
Support GWI’s database hygiene efforts to produce more effective targeted outreach and maintain up-to-date data.
Participate in GWI’s Internship Matching Process as needed.
Collaborate across Girls Who Invest teams on various projects that advance GWI’s mission.
Other duties as assigned.
