About The Position

BDO is seeking a Senior Administrative Professional to join its Business Restructuring & Turnaround Services team in Hamilton. This new role will be responsible for leading client invoice preparation, preparing government claims with strict deadlines, and performing general administrative duties. The successful candidate will also manage workflow software, assist with client greetings, perform ad hoc reporting, and interact with clients to support information requests. Proficiency in various databases and custom software like Workday and Ascend is expected, along with the ability to adapt to new systems. Requirements

  • Two years of working experience in an administrative or similar role
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office computer programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Ability to prioritize workload and the flexibility to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work quickly and take on more responsibilities over time
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven work setting and deal with confidential information
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills both written and oral
  • Value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work
  • Excellent written and oral communication

Nice To Haves

  • Office Administration diploma or other relevant education
  • Prior working experience at a professional services firm
  • Knowledge of the insolvency software Ascend

Responsibilities

  • Lead preparation of client invoices using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Workday
  • Learn and prepare ISED government claims and be conscious of strict deadlines
  • Perform general Administrative duties including but not limited to: photocopying, scanning, typing various documents, mass mailing
  • Lead workflow software/systems including tracking and reporting
  • Assist with greeting clients when appropriate
  • Ad hoc reporting as required
  • Client interaction to support information requests and follow-ups
  • Perform other duties as assigned
