The Public Defender Division of the Committee for Public Counsel Services (CPCS) is establishing a new Conflict Advocacy Office in Hampden County and is seeking a Senior Administrative Assistant. This role will support the Attorney-in-Charge in managing the daily operations of a busy trial office that provides legal representation to adults in criminal court cases. The office is committed to fighting for equal justice and human dignity by supporting clients and advocating for their rights and just public policy. CPCS is the state agency responsible for providing legal representation to individuals who cannot afford an attorney in various case types, including criminal, delinquency, and family law matters. The new Hampden County Conflict Advocacy Office will be located in Springfield and will operate separately from other CPCS offices for conflict of interest purposes. The Senior Administrative Assistant is a crucial member of the trial office staff, responsible for providing excellent support to the attorneys and coordinating communications with internal CPCS units such as HR, Facilities, and IT.
