Senior Addiction Counselor
About The Position
This role involves providing comprehensive assessments, evaluations, and diagnostic summaries for chemically dependent patients. The Senior Addiction Counselor will compile patient-centered, comprehensive treatment plans, adhering to regulatory timeframes. They will document patient progress towards treatment goals in accordance with OASAS regulatory standards, conduct education and therapeutic treatment protocols tailored to patient needs and OASAS regulations, and provide case management services on behalf of patients with all collateral agencies. Additionally, the role requires providing necessary reports to TASC, Drug Court, Parole, DCMH, DSS, and CPS, as well as assessing and managing patient risk and completing discharge summaries within OASAS timeframes with appropriate aftercare in place.
Requirements
- LMSW, LCSW, LMHC or LMHC-LP required.
Nice To Haves
- One year of prior clinical experience in a mental health setting is preferred.
- Experience with adolescents doing individual, group and family work in an outpatient behavioral health setting.
- Experience with treating high risk patients, managing crises.
- Possessing strong diagnostic skills is preferred.
