About The Position
The Senior Actuarial Technician provides technical and analytical support to the actuarial department within a life insurance company. The role supports data preparation, reporting, reserve analysis, pricing, and experience studies, ensuring the accuracy of actuarial data and reports while supporting business decisions related to life insurance products and financial results. The Association is open to candidates with varying levels of experience. Additional duties may depend on the candidate’s industry experience, and other duties may be assigned.
Responsibilities
- Compile, validate, and reconcile actuarial and insurance-related data.
- Assist in testing system changes and product implementation.
- Prepare recurring actuarial reports, spreadsheets, and supporting exhibits.
- Conduct reserve analysis, pricing support, and experience studies.
- Maintain documentation, workpapers, and reporting procedures.
- Support audits, financial reporting, and regulatory reporting needs.
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies.
- Assist with process improvement and reporting automation efforts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to obtain and verify required information.
- Resolve non-standard policyholder questions and requests, including supporting calculations.
- Perform additional duties depending on industry experience and other duties as assigned.
