About The Position

Brown & Brown is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to work closely with the lead Actuary and other members of the actuarial group. The role supports clients in managing risks and protecting themselves from loss by applying knowledge of relevant actuarial practices to develop risk management frameworks. The analyst directs and presents actuarial projects with oversight from the lead Actuary, conducts client-requested studies, and performs technical reviews of projects completed by other analysts.

Requirements

• Must possess or be actively pursuing an Associate, Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) designation.
• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, or a similar field.
• Minimum of 2–5 years of actuarial experience.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.

Nice To Haves

• Consulting experience.
• Working knowledge of SQL.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted tools, such as Claude and Microsoft Copilot, to support analysis, documentation, and workflow efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Direct and present actuarial projects with oversight from the lead Actuary.
• Conduct client-requested actuarial studies, including analysis, pricing, and risk assessment to estimate financial outcomes.
• Apply mathematics, probability, statistics, finance, and business principles to casualty insurance calculations.
• Obtain, input, and summarize large datasets for actuarial studies.
• Follow up with clients, brokers, and managers as needed to ensure studies are completed and delivered within deadlines.
• Organize and document work so others can follow up and trace the work performed.
• Perform technical reviews of projects from other analysts on the actuarial team.
