About The Position

The Pricing Landscape team is rebuilding ZLAPS (Zurich Large Account Pricing System) in a new technology called Tyche. This is a significant opportunity to improve the largest pricing tool in ZNA, which was built over 20 years ago. The position supports Pricing Landscape, a function reporting to the Chief Pricing Actuary, with the goal of simplifying, enhancing, and integrating the overall pricing tools landscape. The objective is to create intuitive tools that enable solid underwriting decisions. This role will be filled at either the Senior Actuarial Analyst or Actuary level, determined by the selected applicant's experience and skill set.

Requirements

  • Senior Actuarial Analyst Basic Qualifications: Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associates Degree OR Bachelors Degree AND Successful completion of 5 or more actuarial exams (applicable to FCAS designation or equivalent international certification) with 2 or more years of experience in the Actuarial area OR Successful completion of 3 or more actuarial exams (applicable to FCAS designation or equivalent international certification) with 3 or more years of experience in the Actuarial area.
  • Actuary Basic Qualifications: Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associates Degree OR Bachelors Degree AND 5 or more years of experience in the Actuarial area plus FCAS or equivalent international certification OR 10 or more years of experience in the Actuarial area plus ACAS or equivalent international certification.

Responsibilities

  • Support the transformation of ZLAPS (Zurich Large Account Pricing System) to a new, modernized platform (ZAPS), including determining methodologies, documenting requirements, and testing.
  • Support current users of ZLAPS and ZAPS by reviewing issues and advising on potential methodology changes.
  • Support the RTAD (risk transfer) tool, used by transactional actuaries across Zurich for captive programs.
  • Work with LOB (WC, GL, Auto) teams to ensure tool outputs align with portfolio estimates.
  • Support other Pricing tool transformations as needed.
