About The Position
Aston Carter's large client in Calgary is seeking a Senior Accounts Receivable Clerk to join their team! This individual will take ownership of the Accounts Receivable function, strengthen customer relationships, and help ensure strong cash flow that supports our business growth.
Requirements
- 5+ years working in accounts receivable
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Large ERP systems experience
- Strong MS Excel experience
Nice To Haves
- Oracle Fusion experience
Responsibilities
- Execute full-cycle AR including invoicing, cash applications, and reconciliation
- Monitor aging and follow up on outstanding balances
- Lead collections professionally and effectively
- Resolve billing discrepancies
- Identify efficiencies and automation opportunities
- Support system enhancements
- Ensure compliance with internal controls
- Prepare AR aging reports and insights
- Track key metrics such as DSO
- Support month-end close
- Work with Sales, Operations, and customers
- Act as escalation point for issues
- Promote a positive team environment
