About The Position
Graco manufactures and markets premium equipment to move, measure, control, dispense and spray a wide variety of fluid and powder materials. The Senior Accounts Payable Specialist will process invoices and debit memos for payment with limited supervision, taking on extra responsibilities such as problem resolution and mentoring newer employees in the department.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years Accounts Payable or Equivalent experience, including experience with an Oracle or equivalent AP system.
- 10 key proficiency
- Good understanding of general accounting terms and concepts.
- Good communication & organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to fix the root cause of discrepancy independently.
- Good customer service skills with established organizational contacts.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
Nice To Haves
- Post Secondary Accounting Degree desirable.
Responsibilities
- Prepare supplier invoices and debits for payment by matching the invoice with required documentation according to existing procedures and enter into Oracle system to meet required deadlines.
- Assist internal and external contacts via correspondence and telephone conversations, answering questions, solving problems, or training on policy as it relates to Accounts Payable.
- Review monthly supplier statements ensuring all invoices referred are scheduled for payment.
- Perform and/or assist with monthly reconciliations.
- Independently identify transaction problems in supplier accounts and take action to resolve.
- Assist newer employees in daily tasks.
- Miscellaneous other duties as assigned.
