About The Position

As Astranis’s Senior Accounts Payable Analyst at Astranis, you will be a key individual contributor responsible for executing and continuously improving a business-critical function that keeps our mission moving forward. You will own complex AP workflows, act as a subject-matter expert across systems and policies, and partner closely with Procurement, Engineering, and Accounting to ensure payments are accurate, timely, and compliant. This role is ideal for a hands-on AP professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving operational problems, and wants to have real impact without direct people management responsibilities.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional experience in accounts payable or general accounting
  • Strong understanding of internal control frameworks
  • Experience with 3-way match invoices
  • Demonstrated expertise in solving complex operational issues
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
  • A proactive and organized approach, comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • You thrive in structured chaos, balancing a sense of urgency with a high bar for precision and integrity
  • U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status Required (To comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the United States, or other protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3))

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a high-growth manufacturing, hardware, or tech environment
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite, Ramp or similar ERPs and Bill processing systems
  • Background in supporting financial audits and/or SOX compliance

Responsibilities

  • Help lead the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice intake, approvals, payments, and reconciliations
  • Partner with Procurement and Engineering to ensure accurate three-way matching of purchase orders, goods receipts, and invoices
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls, establish company-wide AP policies, and ensure compliance with tax regulations and audit requirements
  • Identify and resolve complex issues, data discrepancies, and process bottlenecks to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Collaborate with the broader accounting team on month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Support financial audits and SOX compliance initiatives by providing necessary documentation and process insights
