About The Position

BESTSELLER is seeking a Senior Accounting Technician to join its finance team in Montreal, Quebec. This role offers an opportunity to gain experience in the fashion industry and advance a career in accounting. The successful candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive management of the accounts payable cycle, monthly reconciliations, accounting close processes, ensuring adherence to internal controls, and maintaining high levels of employee and client satisfaction. Requirements

1-2 years of experience in a similar role, including full-cycle Accounts Payable experience.
AEC, DEC or DEP in accounting / finance or equivalent.
Intermediate knowledge of Excel (mastery of VLookUp functions and pivot tables).
Skills in organization and prioritization.
Great attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Organize and maintain records for audits.
Verify accounts daily by reconciling statements and transactions.
Process a high volume of invoices, matching them to purchase orders, verifying details, scheduling disbursements, and obtaining payment approvals.
Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues and strengthen relationships.
Prepare general ledger entries, record account transactions, perform analyses, and utilize accounting software and Excel for reporting and modeling.
