About The Position

SR ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST – LP – WILLMAR CORPORATE (WILLMAR, MN) To save time applying, Hormel Foods does not offer sponsorship of job applicants for employment-based visas for this position at this time. RESPONSIBILITIES: Enters WEM usage and pricing daily into Red River and MTech systems to ensure accurate feed production and cost tracking. Processes accounts payable invoices for outside feed purchases and enters corresponding feed deliveries into the inventory system to ensure accurate cost tracking. Creates and issues accurate feed sales billings by preparing detailed invoices, validating pricing and quantities, and ensuring all accounts receivable activities are completed promptly Completes month-end duties including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. Serves as the primary accounting contact for Feed Mill staff by addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and providing guidance on accounting processes. QUALIFICATIONS: Required: Discipline, forward thinking and self-motivated. Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Able to prioritize and organize workload. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Preferred: A two-year degree or more than 2 years’ experience in related accounting discipline. Experience running reports and trouble shooting from various systems to get desired result. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $21.00-$29.25 per hour, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
