About The Position

The Senior Accounting Manager position will cover Accounting and Finance related duties for three Legends Global Clients in Richmond Va: RPAC – Altria and Dominion Energy Centers, VCU – Siegel Center, and Henrico County Sports Authority – Henrico County Sports Complex. The amount of time allocated to each client will vary based on need and set by The Director of Finance and the Senior Accounting Manager. The range of duties is as follows:

Requirements

Accurate and timely monthly and annual financial reporting
Proper accounting controls and GAAP knowledge
Coordination of annual audits with external auditors
Implementation of new accounting systems
Mentoring accounting and finance personnel
Developing strong working relationships with client counterparts
Detailed knowledge of industry-specific financial structures (e.g., event closings, show settlements)
Developing forecast models and annual budgets
Developing working relationships with management teams
Developing "CFO" capabilities
Serving as backup for Director of Finance

Responsibilities

Primary responsibility for accurate and timely monthly and annual financial reporting working with the accounting department personnel to ensure proper accounting controls and GAAP are in place
Coordinate annual audits with client external audits
Assist in the implementation of new accounting systems as necessary
Teach and mentor Accounting and Finance personnel in their accounting skills development
Develop strong working relationships with client counterparts
Develop detailed knowledge of industry specific financial structures such as event closings and show settlements
Participate with the DOF in developing forecast models and annual budgets for each location
Develop working relationships with management teams of each location and become a trusted financial advisor
Work with the DOF to develop “CFO” capabilities beyond accounting technical skills to build a well-rounded skill set necessary for career advancement
Serve as backup for DOF when necessary
Other duties as assigned.
