About The Position

Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accounting Manager leads the day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting functions of the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of financial records across the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. The Senior Accounting Manager plays a critical leadership role in strengthening internal controls, developing the accounting team, and partnering cross-functionally with Finance and Operations to support strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
  • 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including increasing levels of responsibility
  • 3+ years of experience managing and developing teams
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control frameworks
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms)
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with financial reporting tools is a plus
  • Proven leadership and team development capabilities
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation
  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Oversee general ledger activities, including accruals, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and reserves
  • Ensure the integrity and effectiveness of internal controls and compliance with company policies
  • Assist with external audits, tax filings, and coordination with auditors and advisors
  • Develop, document, and continuously improve accounting policies, procedures, and workflows
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and accuracy
