This position is responsible for the monthly close process including journal entries and variance analysis for warranty in Canada and Non-NAFTA. It also involves managing the Balance Sheet and Cash Forecast for US and Canada, maintaining accurate subledger liability balances, preparing account reconciliations, and ensuring SOX compliance. The role includes maintaining and supporting the Warranty Model Payment System (WMPS) and completing special projects as required, driving continuous improvement within the organization. Through this role, you will learn the monthly accounting close and forecasting processes, gain an understanding and application of SOX controls, and develop relationships with various groups including Chrysler Canada finance/accounting, Internal/External Auditors, and IT. This role will prepare you for any forecasting or accounting close position, and the special projects activities will provide a basis for most financial analyst positions.
