About The Position

This position is Actively Recruited and At Will. The Senior Accounting Analyst (Comptroller) will review and submit complex comprehensive reports, account reconciliations, schedules, and support documentation for each assignment. This role provides guidance for others in accounting activities and policies and delegates work as needed, keeping leadership informed of all irregular findings. The analyst will establish and maintain controls over the rate of expenditures, allocate funds to grant programs, and verify grant expenditures for availability and appropriate fund accounts. Responsibilities include assisting with monthly and annual financial system closing processes, analyzing data from various departments for accuracy, and corresponding with or assisting auditors during the annual audit of financial statements. The position also involves performing highly complex reconciliations of bank accounts, helping to maintain Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) cash management modules, and preparing property tax reconciliations and schedules. Additionally, the analyst will prepare and maintain accounting and financial reporting policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • Four (4) years of accounting/auditing experience utilizing an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system or directly related experience is required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

  • Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures related to general accounting and Federal accounting practices and procedures.

  • Ability to work independently, make recommendations, and collaborate with team members, leadership, and stakeholders to drive accuracy and precision in analysis.
  • Knowledge of non-standard and complex analytical practices to independently perform advanced studies on problems that may be undefined, often recommending new methods.
