About The Position
Profitable, stable, and growing government contractor seeking an Senior Accountant to own the monthly close and core accounting operations. This is a high-ownership role offering day-to-day autonomy while partnering directly with the CFO for guidance, mentorship, and strategic development.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of GovCon accounting experience
- Hands-on Unanet experience required
- Strong knowledge of FAR and DCAA compliance
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Nice To Haves
- CPA/CMA a plus, not required
Responsibilities
- Own month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Prepare accurate financial statements and management reporting
- Support FAR- and DCAA-compliant accounting practices
- Assist with billing across FFP, T&M, and Cost-Reimbursable contracts
- Support labor charging, indirect rates, and audit readiness
- Maintain and optimize accounting processes in Unanet
