Requirements

  • Strong Accounting & Close Process Skills: Proven ability to own month-end close and manage AP/AR teams, ensuring tight, accurate books in a manufacturing setting with legacy systems—critical for relieving controller bandwidth.
  • Hands-On FP&A Support Capability: Comfortable with financial modeling and top-of-funnel FP&A tasks to advance budgeting and forecasting beyond basic annual views, supporting evolving financial planning needs.
  • Mid-Level Experience with Growth Mindset: Seeking a senior accountant with 4-7 years’ experience, ideally with public accounting background or equivalent, eager to grow into Controller or finance leadership roles within a stable, privately held company.

Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end close: Own the full month-end close process, ensuring financials and reconciliations are accurate and delivered on time.
  • Oversee AP/AR operations: Manage accounts payable and receivable teams, driving process improvements and maintaining strong internal controls.
  • Support financial reporting and analysis: Assist with financial reports, budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc analysis to inform business decisions.
  • Drive process optimization: Identify and implement enhancements in accounting workflows and systems to boost efficiency and data integrity.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with senior leadership and other departments to support financial decision-making and operational initiatives.
