About The Position

Zema Global is hiring a Senior Accountant to own month-end accruals, AP, fixed assets, payroll journals, allocations, and intercompany accounting across our growing, multi-entity company. This role will be formative in creating best-in-class processes that scale as the business expands. We need someone who has built processes and systems and has real experience navigating periods of significant change and growth. You’ll be a key hire in a finance function being rebuilt from the ground up, with real ownership over how the day-to-day work gets done across a growing, multi-entity company.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or similar.
• 6-8 years of progressive general accounting experience.
• Hands-on NetSuite experience.
• Experience working with AP automation platforms such as Ramp, Brex, Concur or similar.
• Solid AP process experience, including corporate cards and employee reimbursements.
• Experience with fixed assets, prepaids, accruals and intercompany accounting.
• Experience operating across multiple countries/currencies.
• A track record of building process through real organizational change and growth.
• Experience leading at least 1 direct report.

Nice To Haves

• CPA.
• Prior experience in a PE-backed or actively acquisitive company.
• Experience implementing or transitioning AP automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly/quarterly accruals and general ledger accounting across the U.S., Canada, UK, and other entities.
• Manage accounts payable processes and vendor relationships.
• Own fixed assets accounting: additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules in NetSuite.
• Own prepaid expense schedules and amortization.
• Own intercompany accounting and allocations.
• Maintain R&D capitalization schedules.
• Support the monthly close process alongside the Accounting Manager.
• Take on ad hoc general accounting projects, including integrating newly acquired entities into GL processes.
• Mentor and guide AP support staff as the team builds out.
• Embrace AI tools like Claude into your day-to-day workflow.
