About The Position

Ferrari North America is looking to hire a Senior Accountant for its Accounting team in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. This position will support the company's accounting and financial reporting functions by overseeing month-end close activities, preparing and reviewing journal entries and reconciliations, managing fixed assets and accruals, ensuring compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements, and providing accurate financial analysis and reporting. The role involves partnering with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes, maintain data integrity, and support the overall financial objectives of the company. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting knowledge, financial reporting expertise, advanced analytical skills, and experience with month-end close, reconciliations, fixed assets, SOX compliance, and HFM reporting. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can effectively collaborate with teams, enhance accounting processes, ensure compliance, and support accurate and timely financial reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance
  • 5 years of relevant accounting experience
  • CPA designation or progress toward CPA (plus not required)
  • Experience in a multinational organization
  • Experience with HFM, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems
  • Experience supporting audits and SOX testing
  • U.S. GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting
  • General ledger accounting and month-end close processes
  • Account reconciliation and journal entry preparation
  • Fixed asset accounting and depreciation
  • Accrual accounting and expense recognition
  • Internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance

Responsibilities

  • Compile, analyze, and interpret financial information; prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts to accurately record business transactions.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, supporting schedules, and other management reports.
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including preparation and upload of journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations, including fixed asset schedules, and manage fixed asset setup, maintenance, and depreciation in the sub-ledger.
  • Coordinate monthly PO accrual processes by partnering with business teams to obtain and validate accrual information.
  • Maintain, document, improve, and support accounting systems, processes, and internal control procedures to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations.
  • Perform account analyses and accounting transactions in compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes, controls, reserves, asset management, and expenditures.
  • Upload and validate monthly financial data in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
  • Assist with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance activities, including testing and supporting documentation.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
