About The Position
Machina Labs is seeking a Senior Accountant to own the accounts payable function and support broader accounting operations across a multi-entity NetSuite environment. The role combines hands-on day-to-day accounts payable processing with general ledger analysis, journal entries, and process improvement as the company scales. The Senior Accountant will report to and work closely with the Accounting Manager to build scalable processes across procurement, accounts payable, and close.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of progressive accounting experience, with significant experience in accounts payable.
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite.
- Experience performing three-way matching in a procure-to-pay environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Responsibilities
- Own the accounts payable function, including processing vendor bills and invoices in NetSuite and Bill.com, and ensure accuracy and timely payment.
- Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to validate bills before payment.
- Manage vendor onboarding, including W-9/W-8 collection, banking setup, and record maintenance in NetSuite and Bill.com.
- Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepaids, reclasses, and corrections as part of month-end and year-end close.
- Perform general ledger account analysis and reconciliations, including credit card transactions and other balance sheet accounts.
- Maintain clean account classifications and coding.
- Maintain the fixed asset schedule, including additions, disposals, and depreciation.
- Identify and help resolve process gaps, particularly around system integrations.
- Support audit preparation by pulling supporting documentation, organizing transaction populations, and responding to auditor requests.
- Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and analysis as needed.
