About The Position

As Storable continues to grow both organically and through acquisitions, our Accounting team plays a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and operational excellence. We are seeking a Senior Accountant with strong technical accounting skills and a passion for process improvement. The ideal candidate will bring analytical expertise, attention to detail, and a drive to optimize accounting operations in a fast-paced, evolving environment. The Senior Accountant will own key accounting processes, support audits and tax compliance, and contribute to automation and scalability initiatives across the organization. This position reports directly to the Director, Corporate Accounting and serves as a key member of the corporate accounting function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and revenue recognition principles.
  • Working knowledge of tax accounting and multi-state compliance.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Highly detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Adaptable to change and comfortable working in a fast-growing organization.
  • Process-driven mindset with an emphasis on automation and efficiency.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA certification preferred (or actively pursuing).
  • Prior experience with insurance or SaaS accounting a plus.
  • Experience with NetSuite and QuickBooks a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and manage timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
  • Prepare, review, and reconcile journal entries, balance sheet accounts, accruals, and allowances.
  • Support calculation and reporting of monthly commissions and related accounting entries.
  • Prepare and file quarterly federal excise tax returns and assist with corporate tax compliance.
  • Provide detailed schedules and documentation to support internal and external audits.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements for audit purposes and assist with monthly consolidation and reporting
  • Identify, design, and implement process improvements, including automation of manual workflows.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate and consistent financial reporting.
  • Perform additional accounting duties and special projects as assigned.
