About The Position

We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team. In this role, you'll play a key role in financial reporting for the company on both a U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and U.S. Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP) basis by being a part of our metadata and validation team that ensures all metadata is appropriately set up to facilitate reporting and data is processed correctly in our consolidation and reporting tools! Key member of metadata team, working with business units to understand requested metadata changes and impacts on reporting; will need to obtain an understanding of the equitization process and all external reporting. Will need to learn current metadata structure and new metadata structure being implemented with Finance Journey project as well as how to use Oracle cloud Enterprise Data Management (EDM). Involvement with Finance Journey project that involves conversion to Oracle cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools (e.g., general ledger) with a new chart of accounts, changes/conversion to Oracle cloud Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) tools (e.g., consolidation, financial planning and analysis), and updating all internal and external reports because of the ERP and EPM changes. Assist with creating and maintaining reports needed for internal and external reporting using the Oracle Cloud suite of reporting tools and other reporting tools, as needed. Interact with all business areas and be involved in a mix of daily metadata/validation work and problem solving/project work, including data validations, educating end users on impacts to them (load files, reports, etc.). Other miscellaneous duties, which could include: Provide support for business unit accounting staff; documentation of processes and controls; control testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience required
  • Advanced Excel skills, and comfort working to tackle sophisticated problems within demanding time constraints.
  • Critical thinking and assessment skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with key partners.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or other applicable certifications preferred
  • Knowledge of U.S GAAP and U.S. Statutory preferred
  • Financial reporting background or aptitude
  • Experience with metadata maintenance and data validations
  • Experience with Oracle tools, including Enterprise Data Management (EDM) and Financial Consolidation and Close (FCCS)
