About The Position

Gilbert CPAs is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their client service team in the accounting services department. This role involves building and managing client relationships with regular direct client contact. Occasional same-day travel for client visits, meetings, or seminars is required. The position is based in the Sacramento office and offers a hybrid work schedule after the training period (three days in-office, two days remote, dependent on client needs).

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
5+ years of relevant accounting/bookkeeping experience required, preferably in public accounting or a Client Accounting Services (CAS) environment
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online required
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
Strong leadership, customer service, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to interact effectively with all levels inside and outside the organization
Proven ability to take initiative, anticipate challenges, develop solutions, exercise sound judgment, prioritize tasks, multitask, and work independently in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

Experience managing multiple client engagements simultaneously preferred
General tax knowledge related to small business sales tax, payroll tax, and income tax preferred
Experience with accounting software and automation platforms such as Bill.com, Saasant, Ramp, and similar tools preferred
QuickBooks Desktop experience preferred

Responsibilities
