About The Position

SkyWater Technology seeking an Senior Accountant to expand our team and support the growth of the Company. This role will be involved in various aspects of our operational accounting and financial reporting requirements. This position will also work closely with the finance and SEC reporting teams. The job also requires performing other duties as assigned. Percentages of time spent on job duties are estimates and may vary for each position.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Experience and Skills: 2+ years in Accounting with a preference of public accounting and technical accounting in industry experience.
U.S. Person Required: SkyWater Technology Foundry, Inc. subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All accepted applications must be U.S. Persons as defined by ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. Person as U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Nice To Haves

CPA license and In-depth understanding of GAAP.
Organized and proactive with an ability to manage multiple activities in a timely manner.
Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with Oracle NetSuite ERP is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Demonstrated ability to lead a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proactive and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

Significant contributor in our month-end and quarter-end close processes which includes journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
Responsible for capital expenditure tracking and fixed asset management.
Performs accounting for other asset related activities.
Adherence to SOX control requirements.
Team with cross-functional departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
Prepare and perform preliminary review of balance sheet reconciliations.
Assist with financial statement audit, tax audit & compliance, and lender audits.
Other projects as assigned.
