About The Position

The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close processes, and ensuring financial reporting integrity across the organization. This role requires a strong accounting foundation, analytical mindset, and the ability to collaborate across departments in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Experience with job costing and project-based accounting is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements.
  • Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.
  • Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation records.
  • Assist with audit preparation and provide supporting documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate accounting records.
  • Collaborate with project managers and operations teams regarding job costing and project financials.
  • Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll review as needed.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within accounting and finance processes.
