About The Position

The Senior Accountant plays a key role in daily financial operations and monthly reporting, with a strong focus on inventory reconciliation, month-end close, and continuous process improvement. This role ensures accurate financial data across the ERP system and 3PL partners, supports internal and external reporting, and contributes to a high-performing Finance team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
  • Strong understanding of procurement, revenue cycles, and ERP data flow into the general ledger and financial statements.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, SUMIFS, VLOOKUP, etc.).
  • Ability to analyze trends and prepare accurate accruals in accordance with GAAP.
  • Experience creating clear, insightful reports and presentations for leadership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply new perspectives to existing processes.
  • Ability to work effectively with global business partners and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-service mindset and collaborative approach.
  • 4–6 years of relevant experience, including public accounting.
  • Demonstrated success working in a team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Cost accounting and standard costing experience preferred.
  • Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is a plus.
  • Experience in apparel, consumer products, or textiles preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of the monthly close process, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Review Income Statement activity and prepare supporting analyses and reconciliations.
  • Assist in preparing monthly GAAP financial statements and internal management reporting packages.
  • Support annual financial statement audits.
  • Reconcile ERP inventory subledgers daily to corresponding warehouse/3PL inventory records.
  • Monitor ERP exception reports and collaborate with the Controller and IT to resolve discrepancies.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting visibility.
  • Build strong internal and external partnerships to improve cross-functional collaboration.
  • Contribute to a team culture focused on improving reporting timelines and transparency.
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
