About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Senior Accountant to join the accounting team and assist with general accounting, cost accounting, and financial reporting. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant plays a critical role in providing timely and accurate financial information to support business decisions.

Requirements

• Accounting/Finance degree required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience required.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Must have strong organizational skills, be detail oriented, a team player, and able to consistently meet or beat deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient with the Microsoft Suite of Products, including Excel and Word
• Strong self-starter and ability to work independently
• Ability to meet deadlines with accurate and complete information
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, detail oriented and ability to prioritize responsibilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite of products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

• Inventory Accounting in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Experience with ERP system is strongly preferred.
• Professional certification (CPA) is preferred.
• Master’s degree in Accounting preferred
• Experience in QAD and/or OneStream a plus, prior experience in AR and metal accounting preferred

Responsibilities

• Execute month-end and year-end close including preparing and posting journal entries
• Review financial documents and data to ensure consistency and accuracy across reporting systems
• Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and IFRS accounting standards
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations
• Collaborate with the Accounting Manager and perform other duties as assigned
• Identify opportunities for improvement and efficiencies
