Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three years of accounting experience
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and other financial tools and systems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and a variable workload throughout the month
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with employees and leaders at all levels
  • A commitment to accountability and meeting deadlines
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide accounting support across multiple areas of the business, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger accounting and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare statistical, financial and ad hoc reports.
  • Review detailed financial transactions and record necessary adjustments.
  • Analyze financial statement variances, identify omitted entries and recognize the need for accruals.
  • Prepare journal entries for monthly financial activity.
  • Reconcile and analyze balance sheet and bank accounts and recommend appropriate adjustments.
  • Prepare and file sales and use tax, business license, property tax and other governmental filings, escalating tax issues when appropriate.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
  • Participate in financial system updates and potentially serve as a subject matter expert.
  • Identify process-improvement opportunities and help drive changes that improve department operations.
