The Senior Accountant will be responsible for all aspects of corporate trade accounting and will support the general ledger team in performing reconciliations and financial analysis of the Company’s financials, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. This position reports to the Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis.

Requirements

  • BS in Accounting
  • 4+ years of experience in financial analysis/general accounting functions, including revenue accounting and the monthly close process
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be an analytical and critical thinker with the ability to dig deep into the details but present high-level findings to management
  • Exceptional MS Excel skills
  • Detailed oriented and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Be proactive and self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly

Nice To Haves

  • Netsuite experience preferred
  • CPA or equivalent highly favorable, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the monthly revenue close, ensuring accurate results are delivered on time for reporting in accordance with GAAP.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all monthly billing and revenue journal entries, including the preparation of all balance sheet and income statement reconciliations.
  • Prepare the revenue annual budget and monthly projections.
  • Perform detailed revenue variance analysis by industry, client, and business units.
  • Develop revenue analytics to identify and present potential issues and opportunities.
  • Work with different business partners to gain insight and knowledge that could affect forecasts.
  • Support external audit.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis or special projects.
