About The Position

Hoxton Circle is partnering with an established Bay Area client to hire an experienced Senior Accountant for a long-term contract engagement, with the possibility of becoming permanent based on candidate performance. The role joins a collaborative accounting team with well-established processes. After cross-training, the Senior Accountant will work independently, own complex reconciliations, and support the team through the close cycle. Medical benefits and sick pay are available during the contracted phase.

Requirements

• At least five years of hands-on experience as a Senior Accountant or Senior GL Accountant.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Hands-on ownership of complex asset, liability, GL, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• A track record of researching and resolving discrepancies.
• Month-end close and monthly financial reporting experience.
• Audit workpaper preparation and external audit support.
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets.
• Experience with NetSuite or another large-tier ERP.

• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and prepare complex asset and liability account reconciliations.
• Prepare supporting schedules and review reconciliations completed by other team members.
• Investigate discrepancies and coordinate timely resolution.
• Support monthly and quarterly close.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and related analysis.
• Prepare annual audit workpapers and support the external audit.
• Assist with monthly rebalancing and cash management activities.
• Support tax-related reconciliations and special projects.
• Run and produce financial reports for the accounting team.
