About The Position

The Senior Accountant will manage financial records, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee month-end close processes for medical groups, hospitals, or health plans. This is a contract-to-hire position based out of Honolulu, HI, and requires the ability to work Hawaii Hours (HST). Occasional trips to Hawaii may be necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3 to 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a healthcare, managed care, or multi-entity environment.
• Must be able to work Hawaii Hours (HST).

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements following U.S. GAAP and statutory guidelines.
• Assist with regulatory reports required by health plans and agencies like the Department of Managed Health Care.
• Lead close processes, perform variance and flux analyses, and resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate internal and external financial audits and compile necessary schedules.
