About The Position

Join the EOS team as a Senior Accountant supporting a dynamic defense manufacturing organization where you'll play a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and operational insight for mission-critical programs. In this role you'll drive manufacturing cost and variance analysis and support compliance across FAR/DFARS and Cost Accounting Standards. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 4-7 years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
  • Experience in A&D manufacturing accounting
  • Experience with government contracting standards (FAR/DFARS, CAS).
  • Experience with Incurred Cost Proposal submission.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, cost accounting, and inventory accounting.
  • Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Costpoint, Epicor, or similar).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or CMA certification (or progress toward one).
  • Experience with IFRS.
  • Prior involvement in manufacturing KPIs, operational analytics, or ERP transitions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and variance analyses.
  • Maintain and ensure accuracy of the general ledger in accordance with GAAP and IFRS.
  • Assist with audit support for DCAA, external auditors, and internal compliance reviews.
  • Support accounting processes related to government contracts, cost accounting standards (CAS), FAR/DFARS, & indirect rate structures.
  • Analyze average costs, bill of materials (BOM), routings, and inventory valuations.
  • Work with Quality and Production to perform manufacturing variance analysis-including PPV, labor, and overhead absorption.
  • Support cycle counts and year end physical inventory processes.
  • Partner with operations to improve cost visibility and financial performance.
  • Support accounting processes related to government contracts, cost accounting standards (CAS), FAR/DFARS, & indirect rate structures.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting accuracy.
  • Participate in ERP upgrades, system implementations, and automation initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned, not determined at the time of hire.
