About The Position

This individual will play a key role within the corporate accounting function, owning critical balance sheet areas, supporting month-end close activities, partnering with the local production to ensure accurate financial reporting and support cost activities. The ideal candidate is hands-on, who can independently manage journal entries, reconciliation, problem-solve, and close deliverables while applying strong GAAP knowledge with a process and value-add mindset.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong, hands-on GAAP foundation with experience in general ledger accounting responsibilities.
  • Experience working in ERP environments - Infor Syteline a plus.
  • CPA-track a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own assigned balance sheet accounts and related accounting processes.
  • Perform full cycle general ledger accounting, preparation and posting of journal entries.
  • Prepare and maintain account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Support month-end close activities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Apply GAAP knowledge and perform accounting research to support conclusions.
  • Support compliance, reporting, and audit-related activities across the function.
  • Prepare supporting schedules, documentation, and responses for internal and external information requests.
  • Perform financial analyses and calculations to support accounting conclusions and reporting requirements.
  • Assist with audit inquiries by providing requested documentation and responding to follow-up questions.
  • Identify process inefficiencies, compliance risks, value additions, and opportunities to strengthen controls and procedures.
  • Support cost function for the local production facility cross-functionally while in month-end close, before and post-close providing ad hoc analyses as requested.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with business partners to support local accounting operations, reporting requirements, and process improvements.
