About The Position

ProFast is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in Harrisburg. This role goes beyond traditional accounting responsibilities, with involvement in financial reporting, month-end close, cash management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. You'll work closely with our Director of Finance and company leadership to analyze results, identify trends, improve processes, and provide financial information that helps guide business decisions. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Support the month-end close process, including reconciliations and accruals
  • Prepare financial reporting and analyze results against budget, forecast, prior year, and actual performance
  • Help develop and maintain annual budgets and forecasts
  • Prepare financial metrics, trend analyses, and management reports
  • Manage daily cash activity, bank accounts, and loan payments
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and collection activity
  • Review and approve customer credit applications
  • Participate in monthly business review meetings with company leadership
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and financial systems
