About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Senior Accountant. The role focuses on inventory-related general ledger journal entries, monthly cost audits, annual standard cost roll support, and cost accounting analysis. It requires understanding of standard costing, accounting principles, financial statements, and analysis. This is a contract position based in Jacksonville, Florida, with a hybrid schedule requiring in-office presence Tuesday through Thursday.

Requirements

Knowledge of inventory accounting.

General ledger management skills.
Excel pivot tables and VLookups.
Analytical skills.
Advanced Excel skills.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills for cross-department collaboration.

Responsibilities

Prepare and record general ledger journal entries related to inventory.
Perform monthly cost audits and support the annual standard cost roll.
Assist with monitoring and working with operations to obtain monthly metrics for inventory cycle counts.
Support monthly standard cost variance analysis for purchase price variances, freight, and duties.
Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Collaborate with multiple departments and levels within the organization.
Assist the cost accounting team on special projects as assigned.
