About The Position

EPIC Health is a rapidly growing healthcare organization undergoing national expansion. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to support and strengthen our financial operations. This is a hands-on accounting role ideal for an experienced accounting professional who understands the pace and complexity of a growing organization and is comfortable improving processes, implementing best practices, and working cross-functionally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably within a small business, healthcare organization, or growth-stage company.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and multi-entity accounting.
  • Experience with multi-state accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Process-improvement mindset with the ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Finance, HR, Operations, and other departments.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Power Query, Financial modeling and forecasting.
  • Background checks are required for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage general ledger accounting for multiple entities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations.
  • Identify accounting discrepancies and work proactively to resolve issues.
  • Coordinate accounts payable activities and ensure timely and accurate invoice processing.
  • Monitor vendor accounts, payments, and reconciliations.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and identify opportunities to improve financial operations and cash flow.
  • Establish and improve AP processes and controls.
  • Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Monitor financial performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Analyze variances and provide recommendations to Finance and operational leadership.
  • Provide data-driven financial insights to support business growth and decision-making.
  • Develop, document, and implement SOPs and internal controls for finance and accounting processes.
  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions that improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Standardize financial processes across entities and departments.
  • Ensure finance-related policies and procedures remain current and effectively communicated.
  • Support the implementation and optimization of accounting and financial systems.
