About The Position

The Senior Accountant role combines financial reporting with general ledger ownership across multiple operating entities. Help deploy technology to automate daily processes and focus your energy providing insights to business leaders. Get into the details to troubleshoot variances and be a trusted advisor to the decision makers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent experience required.
• 2-3 years in progressive experience and responsibility
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels in all departments.
• Ability to work on multiple projects at a time is essential.

Nice To Haves

• Professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus.
• General accounting knowledge in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Post and reconcile daily cash across three companies, including one in the UK
• Calculate and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP, including payroll, accruals, expense reports and expense allocations.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts to workpapers
• Monitor open accounts receivable and follow up with automated collections efforts
• Fixed asset accounting including determining capitalization of assets, asset additions & disposals, reporting and depreciation calculations.
• Perform monthly and annual closing processes such as recurring journal entries for prepaid expenses, credit card accruals, payroll accruals, costing unit shipments, sales reconciliations and payroll summaries.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets or forecasts.
• Assemble and provide necessary documentation to external auditors for the annual corporate audit.
• Support the sales team with invoicing and truck title documentation and unit releases
• Ad Hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
• Provide backup to AP and AR functions.
