Now Hiring: Senior Accountant The Senior Accountant plays a key role in ensuring the financial integrity and operational excellence of M.S. Rau. This position is responsible for managing core accounting functions, supporting financial reporting, and contributing to process improvements that strengthen the organization’s financial infrastructure. Working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, the Senior Accountant will partner across departments to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with company standards. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in both independent and team-based settings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, including AP/AR and general ledger
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and standard practices
  • Experience with month-end and year-end close processes

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Salesforce, or Concur

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining accurate financial records through proper recording, verification, and reconciliation of transactions
  • Overseeing Accounts Payable, including invoice processing, vendor reconciliation, and discrepancy resolution
  • Managing Accounts Receivable, including payment application and account maintenance
  • Reconciling subsidiary ledgers and resolving variances in accordance with internal controls
  • Reviewing and processing internal purchase requests
  • Administering corporate credit card activity, ensuring compliance and timely reconciliation
  • Preparing and posting journal entries related to financial activity
  • Supporting month-end and year-end close processes
  • Providing financial insights and recommendations related to assets, reserves, and expenditures
  • Assisting in the development and improvement of accounting policies and procedures
  • Supporting cross-functional projects and initiatives within the accounting function
  • Serving as backup support for inventory data entry in Salesforce
