About The Position

As a Senior Accountant at ShopMy, you'll be a core part of the Finance team, supporting the day to day accounting operations that keep the business running. You'll bring solid accounting fundamentals and industry experience, and thrive in a fast moving environment where priorities shift.

Requirements

3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
Solid understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Based in NYC or the Bay Area

Nice To Haves

Experience in technology, e-commerce, or a high growth startup environment preferred
CPA certification or currently pursuing
Experience with modern accounting software and tools
Familiarity with the creator economy or digital marketing landscape

Responsibilities

Support month end and year end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP
Assist with internal controls, compliance, and audit preparation
Partner cross functionally to gather data and resolve discrepancies
Help identify and implement process improvements
Support external audits, tax filings, and other regulatory requirements as needed
