About The Position

Responsible for functional areas of the accounting department while ensuring accuracy, consistency and the integrity of the accounting department. This role involves devising and installing general accounting systems and procedures, complying reports on cash receipts, expenditures and other financial reports, and maintaining complete records of cash books, daily journals and ledgers to document financial transactions. The Senior Accountant will examine and verify data, distribute and post to proper accounts, prepare bank deposits, disbursement vouchers, customer statements, and payroll checks. This position also assists with major audits, prepares and understands financial and operational reports and spreadsheets, and performs all A/P and A/R functions. Additionally, the Senior Accountant assists the Controller in the preparation of company financials and tax reporting, and may perform basic collection duties and verify bank deposits for all locations. The role requires minimal supervision and the ability to prepare sales tax returns, while maintaining and updating all accounting data accurately. Weekend work and working during any of the three shifts in a 24-hour period may be required, along with completing special projects and other assigned duties. Responsibilities

  • Devises and installs general accounting systems and procedures
  • Complies reports on cash receipts, expenditures and other financial reports

  • Assists other departments as needed or assigned by supervisor
