About The Position

Under limited supervision, the Senior Accountant prepares moderate to complex accounting work and financial analyses for multiple companies in healthcare, construction, and property management. The role prepares journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and financial statements for all agency entities, as well as analytical reports related to the agency’s finances, programs, and budgets. It also prepares audit schedules and interacts with auditors for multiple companies. The Senior Accountant assists finance staff with questions and helps them understand how their functions relate to the general ledgers of the various entities. The position requires adherence to GAAP and application of accounting principles, along with advanced analytical and interpersonal communication skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Accounting, or Finance.
• Five years of accountant experience, including financial analysis experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and general ledger software.
• Experience in financial analysis and report development.
• Experience in all aspects of accounting, including general ledger, financial reporting, and audits.
• Adherence to GAAP and application of accounting principles.
• Advanced analytical and interpersonal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• CPA preferred.
