Requirements

Minimum 3 years in a fast-paced corporate administrative/accounting role
CPA designation or in progress

Nice To Haves

Full cycle accounting experience, considered an asset
Management experience, considered an asset

Responsibilities

Collaborating with the Senior Accounting Manager, determines best practices and procedures for Axis’ related companies, including with respect to: Bank reconciliation, Accounts Receivable, Company Payables, Vendor Payables, Month-end and year-end reporting, Sales Tax Payable, Direct bill and Agency bill reconciliation and resolution, Vendor Payables
Ensuring familiarity with the basics of the Broker Management System
Facilitating post-acquisition integration in conjunction with the Senior Accounting Manager
Conducting post-amalgamation clean up and any structural revisions including but not limited to: Applying collected Accounts Receivables cash to correct accounts, Investigating and explaining/resolving Accounts Receivable, Direct Bill, and Company Payable issues as escalated by the Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable teams
Conducting validation of daily broker management system reports, including but not limited to: Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Account receivable report, Premium Payables Report, Production report, Status of Accounts Report
Collaborating with the Senior Accounting Manager, oversees the development of a workflow system to effectively and efficiently manage workload
