About The Position

This position is primarily responsible for sales accounting activities, including daily review of margin changes, monitoring, and updating accruals, tracking credit memos/rebills and inventory, tracking expenses, preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and weekly and month end closing activities. This position works closely with sales/BU analysts, inventory, CSRs, RMG, sales/plant accountants and controllers. Position is the primary contact for sales accounting inquiries and performing other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in an academic field directly related to the job
• 12 hours minimum accounting required
• 3 plus years accounting experience
• Intermediate computer skills
• Proficient systems knowledge to include but not limited to SAP and MS Office applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask
• Good interpersonal skills
• Understanding of financial statements and related disclosures

Nice To Haves

• Accounting degree preferred
• Advanced knowledge of Access preferred
