About The Position

The Senior Accountant serves as a key accounting resource for the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation, responsible for payroll, compliance, taxes, financial reporting, fixed assets, and budgeting. The role helps ensure financial information is accurate, timely, and compliant with applicable accounting and regulatory requirements. It prepares and analyzes financial information, supports tax and payroll compliance, oversees fixed asset accounting, and participates in developing and monitoring annual budgets. The Senior Accountant researches complex accounting and tax matters and provides knowledgeable guidance to support sound financial practices across the organization.

Requirements

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential required.
Minimum of six years of accounting experience.
Experience with financial reporting, general ledger management, payroll, and income tax reporting and compliance.
Maintain current knowledge of tax and accounting requirements, legislation, and regulations.
Experience using Microsoft Office, payroll, fixed asset, and tax software.
Excellent communication skills.
